Research

I’m a member of the Wofsy Group at Harvard. Broadly, we study carbon in the environment. One of our longest running projects is monitoring ecosystem trends in carbon uptake at Harvard Forest. These days, many of us are focusing on contributing the work of the MethaneSAT science team.
My research has focused on quantifying diffuse area source emissions from oil and gas basins using inverse modeling techniques and data from MethaneAIR, the airborne precursor to MethaneSAT. I’ve presented some of this work at AMS 2024.

Past Research Projects
- Laboratory studies on the impacts of ozone on photosynthetic efficiency in plants, conducted as a member of Sally Pusede’s group. Read about it in my senior thesis or AGU presentation.
- Monitoring the effects of oyster reefs on the wave climate at a marsh edge. This work was conducted with Professor Matt Reidenbach at the VCR LTER. Read about it in my presentation at OSM 2020.
